I like Silver's alpha males in two of her other books, and I liked the hero in this one a lot until one chapter.

In on chapter the hero becomes angry with the heroine and is rough with her, but he does not tell her why. The heroine makes it clear that she hasn't a clue why he is angry, but he still gets physical with her. This is abuse, not consensual sex, and it is a high on my disgust scale. Additionally, when the hero realizes HIS mistake, he labels it a "misunderstanding" and does not apologize. What is worse, the heroine is so eager to be in his good graces, she does not hold the guy accountable.

All the reviews you read about this book is true. It has horrible grammatical errors. It switches between POV so quick that you are going to get whiplash. And Lord only knows how she managed to have so many orgasms. Its absolute rubbish. Despite it being completely and utterly ridiculous in regards to the BDSM world, it was so ridiculous that you HAD to laugh.

You cannot take it seriously at all. Reading this book was much like watching that car go down the street. You know the one, it's missing the tail light so it has red tape over it. Along with no hubcaps and there is a trash bag over the window, all the while the bungee cord on the back is not only holding the bumper on, but also closing the trunk of the car. You cannot help but enjoy the effort it took to make that complete and utter eyesore.

This book is not meant to be so funny...at least I don't think so. But I found many of laughs. It was free and it was entertaining.
I absolutely adore Colton Lyon and Katarina, this book introduces all the major characters in this series and lays out what an alpha male protector Colton is. Great characters, a compelling story line and engaging writing. There are a few spots where you have to really focus on who's thinking, because it isn't always clearly defined or separated. Great story Jordan Silver!
The reviews are mixed on this book..not everyone will enjoy it...I myself like the hero alot...he is Domineering,egotistical,major alpha,sexy as hell,loving,protective to a fault & will end you in a heartbeat if you hurt his....the heroine has been through hell..

some readers said they couldnt connect with the characters...I was able to myself..it wasnt chock full of dialog but i was able to keep pace nicely..I found Colts pothead parents hysterical, the running diatribe between them had me in stitches at times..

if a few errors really get to you, then dont read it...I myself find errors are only human. I have read many many books that I enjoyed, was able to over look the small stuff & enjoy the story for what it was...book 1 & 2 read together are fabulous in my opinion...I just wish they the author would write at least a couple more in the series ...I would like to see what happens with jared & crazy jennifer..
This starts series of one of Ms. Jordan's favorite family. Hero is rough and likes it rough. He has special needs that heroine soon realizes she wants to meet. This book is not for everyone but it is for those that like biker love stories with some erotic elements. Just be aware the author loves the main characters of this series. She includes them a lot in a lot of her other serieses and has written several books on them as well in their own series. If you want to start new series with some humor, lots craziness, OTT hero, unpredictable family members, whole marriage and kids follow up, military style co opts and action scenes, dysfunctional family, and erotic love scenes than this is your book.

Heroine has come home to lick her wounds. She was a witness, and was almost assaulted herself, the sexual assault of her roommate. Hero is bad@ss biker. Heroine's bff gets her a job with hero. They have this crazy chemistry together. Beware hero is one crazy MOFU!!! He is into tattoos and body piercings and domination. Love scenes are very far from sweet and there is a lot more than vanilla loving going on on this books. But he is also very loyal, crazy in love and will kill for heroine. I enjoyed start of book. It is pretty long series and Ms. Jordan mixes these two into other of her books. But I enjoyed reading it and would recommend this first part!!!
Colton Lyon is a basses biker, who builds custom bikes. A trust fund kid with parents who let him follow his heart. He and his crew like to ride and are all about family. While they aren't a traditional MC, they can step up when they need to.
Kat Sloan is 18 and a survivor of an attempted gang rape that took the life of her best friend. She comes to Washington to stay with her dad to get away from all the gossip in Phoenix. Her best friend Jared, gets her a job at Lyon's shop.
When Lyon and Kat meet she starts to come out of her shell. He can't understand his interest in the mousy little girl. When Kat shows her true self and Lyon learns her story. He claims her and gets peace and closure for.
Ends in a cliffhanger of sorts. Hate that.
This is the second book I read from this author. I was hoping it would get better, because I like the storylines of her books. But the author has a major problem with transitions. One minute you’re hearing the thoughts of the female lead and then the next line, it’s the male lead thoughts. One minute, they are shopping and then somehow they made it back to the auto shop by the next sentence. The author needs to slow down and give more of a narrative.

The next major problem I had with the book is the rough stuff was too much for me. I love a good alpha male with an edge. I don’t mind spanking or even reading about being tied up. But I do not like to read about choking. I hated how he argued with her about what to eat, how to act.. she couldn’t even question him because he already made his mind up about things. talking about it again was not allowed. It may bother her but it was a done deal, end of story.

I am really bummed about it because I wanted to sink myself into another series and I saw that this had already six books in the series. But this is Definitely not the romance novel for me.
