I didn't really know what to expect when I started reading this book. I went into it more or less mostly just from a friends recommendation as I only glanced at the blurb not really paying attention to it and hadn't heard of the author before. Let me tell you that if you want a good love love story that has much more involved than just that then this is your book. Kyle and Amber are just so perfect for each other. Unfortunately, a misunderstanding spilt them up without Kyle knowing why for six yrs. Amber is now back and happens to meet her boss at her new job which just so happens to be Kyle. They decide to try to give it another shot since they both are still in love with other. The only problem is there are two people out there that want to tear them apart. Will Kyle and Amber get there happy ever after or do they lose the fight? The story had a storyline that flowed nicely and well developed characters which most were likeable. The end will definitely play your emotions. I enjoyed this book so much that putting this book down was torture. I will definitely be moving onto finishing Kyle and Amber's story in book 2 and reading more from this author in the future.

I read this entire book in 5 hours. Once I opened it, I was powerless to put it down. The unbreakable bond between Amber and Kyle is what every woman dreams of and too often never have a chance to experience. Left to their own devices, the book would have been heartwarming, but probably a bit boring for my taste. Enter psycho Beau! His fixation with Amber and hatred of Kyle forces the reader to buckle up and hang on as you take a wild roller coaster ride with them - all the way to the final cliff-hanger that will leaving you begging for book number two!
As with all debut authors, Kathy-Jo is finding her voice in this written world. As the book progresses she gets stronger. I cannot wait for book two! The twists and turns in this book are huge! And of course the cliffhanger everyone mentions guaranties that book two is going to be magic!
First Love, book 1 of the Oakville Series by Kathy-Jo Reinhart, is about Kyle and Amber, two people who have been in love with each other since they were kids. First Love is told in Dual POV’s and I really love that. I love a book that we can get into both the characters mind and get a better idea of what is going on. Amazing! I love the story and the characters. From the start up to the last, this book held my interest all throughout! But what an ending.... Thank goodness I don't have to wait before I get to start the next book in this series.
Amber leaves her hometown looking for a new life. Kyle broke her and she just needs to get away. Six years later she's back in the same situation. Walking in on her fiance with another woman it's time to pack up and go home. Amber lands a job at a bar and then few weeks later she meets the owner KC, who happens to be Kyle. Kyle and Amber never gotten over each other. Kyle is furious when he see's the girl that broke his heart. Amber never had the whole story about what happened and Kyle is confused on if he wants to show her, or let her leave. The love he feels for her is too strong, and he doesn't know if he will be able to let her walk away again.
Ok loving this plot, story, characters and circumstances but dang that cliffy. I mean I knew it said book one but still wasn't expecting that geesh. Hopefully book two is out of it it isn't not toooooo long of a wait for it dangit.
Highly recommend this book. This book had a fast paced storyline, angst, hot sex, and two memorable main characters you will cheer for.

I really enjoyed First Love. I love when I get to pick up a book and dive in and not want to put it down. Kathy-Jo Does an amazing job with the characters and the plot of First Love. The characters we all so lovable, even the side characters you instantly wanted to hear more about them. Amber and Kyle were both amazing an brought so much to the story. Kyle was super sweet and had so much love for Amber. He is an easy book boy friend. Amber was also sweet and had so much going on in the begging of the book. She was easily a character I would want as a friend.
The plot had me going up until the end and when I saw I was done I went and bought the net book in the series I need to know what happens. Kathy- Jo does an awesome job with keeping you invested in the book and characters. Once I started reading it I could not put it down. It was also steamy but not overly done steamy. Kathy- Jo found a new fan and I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves Romance.
